Degree Completion in Dental Hygiene (BSDH)
The Degree Completion Dental Hygiene Program provides the opportunity for dental hygienists who have been awarded a Certificate or Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene to earn a Bachelor of Science degree within the discipline of dental hygiene. Graduates of dental hygiene programs accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation who have successfully passed the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination may apply to the program. The curriculum is administered with the flexibility necessary to accommodate the varying special interests and career goals of individual students. Courses in advanced dental hygiene studies emphasize biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences and provide opportunities for in-depth study in one of the following areas: Dental Public Health, geriatric Dentistry, Hospital Dentistry, Oral Biology, Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontics.
