Welcome to the UNC Craniofacial Center

The University of North Carolina Craniofacial Center consists of an interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to the care of the patient and family with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial anomalies. The team consists of specialists from the fields of:

  • Neurosurgery

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Orthodontics
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pediatrics
  • Pediatric Dentistry

  • Speech-Language Pathology
  • Speech Pressure-Flow Assessments
  • and other specialties as needed on a consultation basis.

The UNC Craniofacial Team is composed of many individuals who are nationally known in their fields. Collectively, the team brings over 100 years of clinical experience to the patient and the family. The Craniofacial Team is also known for its continuing efforts in the research of patient care. Investigators at the Center have received continuous NIH funding for the past 35 years.
