Description:

Geriatric Dentistry. Position entails collaboration with the UNC Institute on Aging, the VAMC-Durham, and the UNC Hospitals Department of Dentistry. Involves a research commitment to the oral, behavioral and systemic health concerns of aged and medically compromised persons. Applicants must have DDS/DMD degree or equivalent, and training or experience in Geriatric Dentistry. Advanced degree and relevant academic experience desirable.

Description:

Full-time, tenure-track position available beginning July 1, 2008 for an early career epidemiologist in the UNC Department of Dental Ecology.

Substantial independent and team research productivity and research funding submissions are expected. Teaching responsibilities include aspects of community dentistry/dental public health to pre-doctoral students and research design to graduate students. Administration and clinical practice will be assigned if appropriate. Well-developed, highly productive research skills are required and applicants records of independent research and publications should reflect their academic experience.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degrees, and a DDS/DMD is desirable. Rank and salary commensurate with training and experience.
