How to Change Dentistry Password

There are several ways you can change your dentistry password.  The option you can use depends on whether you are on the dentistry network at the time and whether or not you are using a shared or a dedicated computer.

On the network:

• If you receive a pop-up notification of password expiration upon logging into the network, reply "yes" to the "do you want to change your password now" prompt.  Use the dialog box that pops up to change your password.
• Alternately, while logged into your computer, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select "change password" from the options on your screen.  This will open up the password change dialog box. 

Off network:

• Click on the following link to go to dentistry password change page:
  https://www.dent.unc.edu/cgi-bin/dompass.exe

Important note for laptop users: 

If you change your password when off-campus, your login password for your laptop will remain the old one until you connect your laptop to the campus network again. However, your password for the electronic syllabus and other web applications will change immediately.
