Annual Events and Activities

Dean's Club Dinner: This annual black tie dinner honors those alumni and friends who have contributed upwards of $1,000 or more each year to the Dental Foundation on behalf of the School.

Best of Dentistry Dinner: Alumni and friends of the School are invited to this dinner. The DFNC's Distinguished Service Award and Dental Alumni Association (DAA) awards are presented at the Best of Dentistry Dinner.

DFNC Golf Tournament: Each year, more than 100 players participate in the golf tournament, which benefits the DFNC's student activities fund. The tournament has been played at local courses such as Treyburn Country Club, Chapel Hill Country Club, Governor's Club and Finley Golf Course.

Graduation dinner: The DFNC, DAA, Dental Hygiene Alumni Association, Dental Assisting Alumni Association, and the Durham-Orange County Dental Assistants Society host this dinner for graduating students each year.

Scholarship/Fellowship Dinner: Scholarship and fellowship recipients are invited to this dinner to meet the student support fund donors and those those who have established student support funds and those who are honored with these named endowed funds.

Retired Faculty Luncheon: The DFNC recognizes retired faculty members each year with this luncheon.
