Pediatric Dentistry Receives $25,000 Grant

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry has received a $25,000 grant from Maternal and Child Health. Part of the grant will be used for a conference in Chapel Hill in the spring of 2000. The major goal of the conference is to offer and share information and successful strategies to increase access to oral health care for low-income children. The conference will focus on how to initiate action at the local and state level including the roles of local and state dental societies, child advocacy groups, legislators, county and state dental directors.
