1999 Spurgeon Awards Banquet

The 1999 Spurgeon Awards Banquet was held on Wednesday, April 14, 1999 in the Great Hall of the Hill Alumni Center on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus. Attended by over 200 dental school students from the DDS, DH and DA classes, staff and faculty, a large number of awards for teaching excellence, staff appreciation, clinical excellence and academic achievement were presented. The banquet was planned by the Spurgeon Dental Society under the leadership of Ms. Heather Brown, a second year DDS student and Vice-President of the Spurgeon Dental Society with staff help from Ms. Liz Schramm from the Office of Academic Affairs. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Paul Cloninger, a third year DDS student and President. Congratulations to all of the winners.
