Pediatric Dentistry Collects Honors at Annual Session

Pediatric Dentistry gathered honors at the recent Annual Session of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in Toronto. Department Chair Mike Roberts, became president of the board and Professor William Vann was named "Pediatric Dentist of the Year".
Residents were also honored. Rocio Quinonez received the Omni Postdoctoral Research Fellowship valued at $7,500. His mentor is Dr. Martha Ann Keels from Duke and adjunct faculty at the School. At same meeting Chuck Mauney's mentor Dr, Robert Conrad, from the Sheps Center, received a $10,000 grant from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Foundation to support Mauney's MPH project in the School of Public Health. Mauney and William Vann are co-PI's and Conrad is the primary PI. Jessica Lane won first place in the table clinic competition
