Alumni Association Creates Endowment for Scholarship

Dr. Dale Finn, president of the UNC Dental Alumni Association announced that the Alumni Board voted to create an endowment fund to support a Dental Alumni Association Scholarship. The initial funding of $10,000 will come from the Alumni Association. The Association will ask alumni and friends to donate directly to UNC Dental Alumni Association Fund.

A $3,000 UNC Dental Alumni Association Scholarship for a third year predoctoral student will be awarded in the Fall of 1999. The student must have completed two years in the predoctoral program at the UNC School of Dentistry. Selection will based on academic achievement, financial need and an interview by the Dental Alumni Scholarship Committee. Third-year DDS students may contact Dr. Carolyn Booker in Academic Affairs for application information.
