Bayne Honored by Academy of Dentistry International

Dr. Stephen Bayne, professor in operative dentistry and section head of biomaterials, was honored with the Award of Distinction and honorary fellowship at the Academy of Dentistry International's annual meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii Oct. 7, 1999. He received the award for his contributions to basic and biomaterials science in restorative dentistry and health sciences.

Bayne is a fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials, a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is the current president of the American Association for Dental Research.

The Academy of Dentistry International is the international honor society for dentists dedicated to sharing knowledge in order to serve the dental-health needs and to improve the quality of life of people throughout the world.
