Sugerman Seminar

Dr. Philip Sugerman, an oral biologist from Queensland, Australia, visited the school Dec. 8, 1999. He conducted a seminar entitled: "Cell-mediated cytotoxicity and matrix metallo-proteinases in lichen planus". Sugerman is the NHMRC CJ Martin Postdoctoral Research Fellow in oral biology and a registrar of oral pathology at the University of Queensland. His research focuses on the interaction between T-cells and the oral epithelium. Valerie Murrah, chair of diagnostic sciences and general dentistry, was his host.
