The Dental Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., is pleased to announce that it has awarded more than $100,000 in graduate fellowships to 23 post-doctoral students in the School of Dentistry for the 1999-2000 school year. This year's recipients are:

The Dental Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation chartered in 1950 to aid and promote education, research, patient care and service at the UNC School of Dentistry. The Foundation raises funds from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations to carry out that mission. In 1998-99, $2.2 million was contributed to the DFNC. The current officers of the Foundation are: Dr. Dudley C. "Chan" Chandler (President), Dr. John S. Olmsted (President-Elect), Dr. J. Ronald Sain (Vice President), Dr. Kenneth N. May (Secretary-Treasurer), Dr. John W. Stamm (Assistant Secretary-Treasurer) and Dr. Nona I. Breeland (Immediate Past-President). The Foundation offices are located in the Dean's Office in 150 Old Dental Building. Mr. Paul Gardner is executive director of the Foundation and Ms. Tina CoyneSmith is associate director.
