Cool Your Heels

Many School of Dentistry faculty, staff and students took time to enjoy ice cream at UNC's Employee Appreciation Event "Cool Your Heels" May 24. Promises of ice cream and wonderful door prizes lured university employees to Carmichael Auditorium despite the hot and humid summer weather. Exhibits with free information and prizes were also an attraction. Dentistry was well represented as more than 4,000 toothbrushes were distributed at the school's exhibit. Some lucky participants had a special treat as Dean John Stamm took a turn at serving ice cream.

A special thanks to the school's human relations committee who prepared and staffed the exhibit and to other School of Dentistry volunteers who assisted at the event.
