Orthodontic and Pediatric Clinics Update

The newly renovated orthodontics and pediatric dentistry clinics on the second floor of Brauer Hall are almost complete. All dental chairs have been installed and waiting room furniture is expected any day. The new orthodontics clinic is 4,100 square feet and the pediatric clinic is 4,500 square feet. The clinics, which also include clinical support space, three seminar rooms, staff and faculty offices, and resident study rooms, are scheduled to open in July.

Generous contributions from alumni and friends have made much of the renovation possible. Dr. and Mrs. Frank Stout contributed $250,000 to name the Frank and Carol Stout Clinics, and Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Baker contributed $250,000 to name the Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Baker Orthodontics Center. Other contributors who have named areas of the orthodontics center are: Drs. Jim Kaley, Jack Dunlevy, David Sarver, Ron Sain, Richard Garlitz, Richard Steedle, Charles Houghton, Frederick Booth Jr., William Haltiwanger, Walter Brian Shepherd, Todd Engstrom and Bruce King III, and the Class of 1986 Orthodontics Students (Drs. Keith Black, James Buckthal,John Christensen, Todd Hamilton, Michael Mayhew, and Tim Shaughnessy).
