Careers in Dentistry 2000
Set for September 9

UNC School of Dentistry students and their parents will have the opportunity to learn about future career options Sept. 9, 2000 at the Friday Center. More than 50 speakers will share their experiences and expertise at a daylong program sponsored by the UNC Dental Parents every three years. Predoctoral, dental assisting and dental hygiene students will learn how to pursue traditional and non-traditional careers. Topics include practice management, academic dentistry, public health, graduate program specialties and new practices. Each student can attend six sessions and a lunch and learn. Joel Berg, a pediatric dentist and vice president of Optivan in Snoqualmie, Wash. will be the keynote speaker. Students can earn seven hours of credit for the program.
