50th Anniversary Celebration September 23

Students, staff, faculty and alumni will celebrate the day the school opened its doors at a 50th anniversary pre-game event, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000 at the school. The dedication of the new Alumni Garden that was donated by the UNC Dental Alumni Association and a complementary brunch will follow the program. The School of Dentistry opened Sept. 20, 1950 with 40 students, 39 males and one female. Invitations to this special celebration have been mailed.
