Careers in Dentistry

Nearly 150 students and parents gathered at the Friday Continuing Education Center, Sept. 9, 2000 for a day-long seminar to learn about dental career options. Careers in Dentistry gave students the opportunity to learn about private practice, academic dentistry, non-traditional careers and other special topics. The program is sponsored by the UNC Dental Parents every three years.

Joel Berg, DDS, a pediatric dentist and vice president of Optiva gave an enthusiastic and informative keynote address about the future of dentistry. Forty-five dental professionals from around the state and the UNC School of Dentistry presented the latest career information to students and parents. Special thanks to Joel Berg and the 45 speakers who donated their time to make the program a success!
