Don Warren Retires

A crowd of more than 150 colleagues and friends gathered at the Kenan Lounge September 26 to wish Don Warren, Kenan Professor and director of the UNC Craniofacial Center, well on his retirement. Dean John Stamm gave him accolades for his contributions in treating and caring for children with cleft palates and/or lips. For more than three decades, Warren has pioneered and advocated an interdisciplinary team approach to treating congenital defects in which the roof of the mouth and lip are not fully formed. Warren, a 1959 graduate of the School of Dentistry, joined the faculty in 1963.
