Two Pediatric Residents Receive Research Awards
Kate Pierce received the American Association of Public Health Dentist's Leveritt Award for her research entitled "The accuracy of physician's referral for early childhood caries". She receives a cash award plus support to attend the Annual Session of the AAPHD in Portland, OR, where the award will be presented. Her mentors are faculty members Gary Rozier and William Vann.
Jessica Lee received American Dental Society of Anesthesiology's Research Competition for her research entitled "A cost analysis of treating pediatric dental patients using general anesthesia versus conscious sedation". She receives a cash award and travel support to the ADSA's Annual Session in Boston where the award will be presented. Her mentors are faculty members Williams Vann and Mike Roberts.
