Dean's Club Dinner
The Dental Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. held its annual Dean's Club Dinner on Friday, April 6. More than 100 Dean's Club members and guests attended the event at the Morehead Building on the UNC campus. The Dean's Club recognizes alumni and friends who make an annual contribution of $1,000 or more to the DFNC.

Dr. Douglas Berkey, Carolyn Knuemann Professor of Geriatric and Special Care Dentistry, explained to the Dean's Club members how important private support, in the form of the endowed Knuemann Professorship, was to his decision to leave the University of Colorado School of Dentistry to join the faculty at the UNC School of Dentistry.

Dr. Caroline Carver Cheek (DDS 1999), who is an orthodontic resident and Andrew Brooks Memorial Fellowship recipient, thanked Dean's Club members for their generous support of the DFNC and explained how such contributions have been critical to her pursuit of a career in orthodontics.

Retired faculty member Dr. Roy Lindahl and his wife, Ms. Marian Stephenson (BSDH 1968) (far left and far right), take advantage of the opportunity to visit with Dr. Frank Pattishall (DDS 1961, MS Ortho 1969) and Mrs. Jo Pattishall (CDH 1959) of Charlotte (center).
