Bailey Named ELAM Fellow

L'Tanya Bailey, graduate program director and associate
professor in the department of orthodontics, has been named a 2002-2003
fellow in the Hedwig van American Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine
(ELAM) Program for Women. Established in 1995, ELAM is an in-depth national
program that focuses on preparing women faculty at U.S. and Canadian medical
and dental schools for senior leadership positions at academic health
centers. Part of the Institute for Women's Health at MCP Hahnemann University,
ELAM continues the institution's legacy that began with the Medical College
of Pennsylvania's roots as the nation's first women's medical school.
Approximately half of ELAM's 200 alumnae now hold senior leadership positions..
The ELAM community continues beyond the fellowship year through the Society
for Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (SELAM International).
