Yan Zhong Receives Morita Award

Oral epidemiology student Yan Zhong was awarded 2nd place (including a $250 cash prize) in the Morita Junior Investigator Awards competition, sponsored by the Geriatric Oral Research group, at the recent IADR meeting in Goteborg, Sweden. This recognition was for her abstract and presentation entitled "Clinical Signs of Periodontal Disease and Prostaglandin E2 in Gingival Crevicular Fluid". Co-Authors and faculty mentors for the project were Gary Slade, Jim Beck, and Steven Offenbacher.
