Gardner Returns to the School of Dentistry

With the Thanksgiving Holiday just one day away, I am happy to announce that on 1 January 2004 Mr. Paul Gardner will return to his former positions at the UNC School of Dentistry and the Dental Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. One of UNC's most famous alumni Thomas Wolfe wrote "You Can't Go Home Again," but Paul says he feels like he'll be returning home when he rejoins the School in about one month's time.   

"I'm looking forward to returning to the School of Dentistry to work with its great development team, and the School's superb faculty, staff, students and alumni," Gardner said.  Paul is highly appreciative of the opportunity provided to him by the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, but ultimately he feels the major challenges to be accomplished at the Dental School and the Dental Foundation are more uniquely suited to him and his family. 

When January 2004 arrives, help us welcome Paul Gardner back to the School where he will work very hard on all our behalves to complete the signature task he started, namely to reach Dentistry's fund raising goal of $30 million within the Carolina First Campaign.  Indeed, with Paul's energy and a little luck we hope that we will reach and break through that goal before the end of 2004!
