The UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, which opened its doors to students in 1950, is among the leading public dental schools in the nation. The School’s mission is to promote the oral health of the people of North Carolina through excellence in teaching, patient care, research and service.

The North Carolina Dental Review
How did the School recognize its 40 years of oral health research? What are some of the most promising areas of discovery within oral health today? What are some of the many ways in which School faculty, staff and students are making a difference?
The North Carolina Dental Review is published twice annually by the Dental Alumni Association and the Dental Foundation of North Carolina.

Continuing Dental Education and Other Events
The mission of UNC-Chapel Hill Continuing Dental Education is to advance the knowledge base and practice of dentistry through quality educational programs. Continuing education programs provide lifelong learning opportunities for dental professionals in North Carolina through three divisions: Continuing Dental Education, the Area Health Education Centers and the North Carolina Academy for Advanced Clinical Dentistry.
