Center Membership

Membership in the Comprehensive Center for Inflammatory Disorders (CCID) will qualify investigators to complete access to all Center programs and facilities. Investigators or faculty associated with the CCID who apply and are accepted for formal membership will be granted membership in one of the following categories:

Center membership will be granted by a majority vote of the Internal Operations Committee (IOC). CCID Members all have appointments in academic departments. Their role with the CCID would not compete with their primary departmental role. Rather, membership in the CCID would further a faculty member's means of achieving research, training, and service goals. Membership would entitle faculty to the following rights, privileges, and opportunities:

  • Priority rights to CCID services, including computer access and programming services, research assistants, secretarial and editorial services, library searches, and other services that the CCID might initiate, on advice of its Members.
  • Rights to assistance in planning and preparation of grant applications and in administration of research projects.
  • Priority use of research space available to the CCID.

Membership responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring students
  • Making presentations related to their own work for CCID staff, members, and students.
  • Publishing scholarly work
  • Advising the CCID Director and the IOC regarding CCID policies and the selection/review of members
  • Attending scheduled meetings of members.
