Spurgeon Dental Society
Minutes
February 25, 2003

Meeting called to order at 5:17pm.

1. Vendor Day 2003 will be October 3rd at the Friday Center. Committee decided to keep the time from 4:30 to 8:30.
2. The Spurgeon Awards Banquet is on April 15th at 6:00. The tickets are $25 for students and $37 for faculty and staff. The banquet meal is herb grilled chicken and the dessert is chocolate swirl cheesecake. Ticket sales begin on March 17th. The maximum capacity is 150-175. Anyone interested in volunteering to selling tickets should contact Ron Sanborn.
3. The budget proposal has been given to Mr. Luten. There is $1000 for each group. Request the funds from Mr. Luten.
4. The Spring Picnic has been changed to The Fall BBQ and is being organized by DDS 1st years.
5. Donut Hour with Dean Stamm has been changed to a student/faculty mixer and will take place sometime in April.
6. The junior/senior lab is being kept neater but complaints are still being made.

1. Vendor Day committees are as follows:
   1. SNDA and HAD will work as the In-house Committee. In April the committee will notify local dentists and do in-school advertising.
   2. SRG and ADEA will work as Vendor Contact Committee. Contacts should be made in May, June and September.
   3. AAWD and ASDA wiil work as Day-of Committee.
2. The website and bulletin board will be the responsibility of the Spurgeon Secretary.
3. A meeting about computers with Dr. Solow, Dr. George, Dr. Brunson and Dr. Maixner is during lunch 2-26-03. Suggestions are welcome.
4. The White Coat Ceremony will be held on the evening of March 28th. Attendance is encouraged.
5. The table clinic CE course will be on March 7th and the topic is How to do a Table Clinic. Table Clinic Presentation Day is March 28th.
