Meeting
called to order at 5:15 in room 398 A/B
I. Announcements
a.
Dental Research and Review Day: at 8 O’clock on weds. Feb 11, 2004
-There will be
“Hands-on” workshops and elective courses
b. Organizations
-Need to update “Heads” of each
organization with Rob.
-Mr. Luten joined first quarter of
meeting to explain allocation of Vendor Day
Funds
-In April there is a proposed Debt-Management
seminar
-Seminar will include: how to combine your loans, borrow and
consolidate them
-May be in conjunction with Med.
School
-Mr. Luten pressed the issue that
students need to stay on top of HIPPA form
signatures in order to avoid detrimental
consequences
-Mr. Luten expressed an intimate
and sincere concern with the knowledge that
students might be abusing medications in order
to cheat or combat fatigue

Appointments
-New computerized calling service
will contact patients scheduled for appointments 3 days prior to that
appointment.
c. Vendor
Day Funds
-Mr. Luten presented the first
quarter of meeting explaining possible allocations of previously earned funds
and applicable fees.
-Mr.
Luten’s fee: $2500
-Friday
Center Fee: $3400
-Spurgeon
money as of now will Net over $10,000 as soon as
Proctor and Gamble pays
-Several proposals were made about
how to disburse vendor funds
between each organization
-Concluded that each
group/class/organization will submit an individual
proposal that will be voted
on. Fund will be allocated on a per
event basis. Each organization will be
allotted 1,000.00. At the end of the
year, remaining funds will be equally distributed among the organizations.

Clinics 2004
-Jonelle Grant is in charge of
organizing
-Date holds at March 26th
-Last day to turn
in applications is March 1st
c. Spugeon Banquet 2004
-Date holds at
March 30, 2004
-Will start at
“cocktail hour”, (around 6:30-7:00)
-Location: Carolina Club
-$25 per student
d. Brauer
Hall Renovations
-311 Lab will be no longer
available for lab use after May of this year
-311
will be renovated into an employees lounge
-107 Lab will remain but will be
closed starting May of this year due to
renovations during the summer
